The current château was built from 1833 onwards by the Nové-Josserand family, who owned a brickworks on the Apigné moors. Like many buildings of this type, the Château was occupied during the Second World War by the Germans, the militia and the Resistance. In the 1960s, the Château was divided into flats, and in 1985 the Rennes Lorient expressway cut through a large part of the grounds. Acquired in 1989 by the Khan-Renault family, the property has been restored and transformed into a venue for receptions and business meetings.
